５月24日から7月7日の期間に受け入れ研究室で研究プロジェクトを行いました。
また、学内の国際交流活動のInternational CaféやICPの活動へも参加し、本校の学生にとっても異文化に触れることができ、タイ王国の最新情報をも得ることができた有意義な期間となりました。
以下、WinさんとTopさんの体験談をご紹介します。

We are glad that we got the opportunity to do an internship at NIT, Kitakyushu college. We did the project in Kuchii lab. The theme of the project is “Digital Twin”. We need to make a 3D model of DOBOT MAGICIAN which is robotic arm, insert it into UNITY and make it move according to drawing function that was set up. After that we received a new project. The project is making a 3D model of TSL-550 which is lathe machine and printing it. The model must be detected by the AR camera to show the details of the machine.
Apart from doing project, we did exchange activities with Kuchii lab students, Thai class students and KOSEN students to present Thailand and play some mini games. We also participated in playing sports in college such as badminton, basketball, and table tennis. So, we got many new foreign friends who are not only Japanese but also Malaysian and Indonesian and learn their cultures, languages, and traditions. These things made us improve soft skills such as communication and teamwork skills.
In addition, we had the opportunity to visit YASKAWA factory to learn how to make robotic arms and see some robots such as the medical robot. For the weekends, we went to many places such as Kokura Castle, Karato Market and Canal City. So, we can learn more Japanese cultures from outside and some Japanese necessary words to use in daily life. There is one day of the weekend that we went to Hiraodai Mountain, it’s our first time to go up the mountain in Japan. It’s very beautiful and we like that we can walk across mountains easily since mountains are connected. And two more things that we really like in Japan is food and crosswalk. For food, we love Sushi, Udon and Ramen. And for crosswalks, almost every crosswalk has a crosswalk signal that makes it easier for us to cross the road.
In conclusion, we love Japan as much as Thailand since people are nice and the food are so delicious. We want to thank you a lot for this internship since it helped us to learn more about Japan and develop ourselves in both self-confidence and adaptability. If we have a chance to come back to Japan, we will definitely come back again.

北九州高専にてインターンシップの機会を得ることができ大変嬉しく思います。久池井研究室でプロジェクトを実施しました。
プロジェクトのテーマは“Digital Twin”です。

プロジェクト以外では久池井研究室の学生、タイ語クラスの学生、北九州高専の学生とタイの紹介やミニゲームをして交流をしました。また、バドミントン、バスケットボール、卓球など、大学でのスポーツにも参加しました。その甲斐があり日本人だけでなくマレーシア人やインドネシア人など多くの外国人の友人を得ることができ、彼らの文化や言語、伝統も学ぶことができました。これらの出来事が私たちのコミュニケーション力やチームワーク力といったソフトスキルをも向上させることにつながりました。
さらに、安川電機の工場を訪れ、ロボットアームの作り方を学んだり、医療用ロボットなどを見学する機会も得、週末には、小倉城や唐戸市場、キャナルシティなど様々な場所へ行き、学外から日本の文化を学んだり、日常生活で必要な日本語も学びました。
またある週末には、平尾台の山に行きました。とても美しく、山はつながっているので、簡単に歩いて山を越えることができるのが気に入っています。そして、私たちが日本で本当に好きなものが二つあります。一つは食べ物で寿司、うどん、ラーメンが大好きで、もう一つは横断歩道です。　ほとんどすべての横断歩道に信号機があるので道路を渡るのが簡単です。
最後に、私たちはタイと同じくらい日本が大好きです。このインターンシップのおかげで日本についてより知ることができ、自信と適応力の両方を身につけることができました。また日本に来る機会があれば、必ず来たいと思います。
