My internship in Kitakyushu was a very memorable experience—something I will truly treasure and remember forever. During my time there, I was assigned to Professor Kuchii’s lab, where I assisted an advanced course student with his capstone project. I handled various aspects of the robot’s design, including the circuitry, components, mechanisms, and ensuring overall coherence and fluidity. Collaborating with the Japanese students, despite the language barrier, was also a significant learning experience in terms of communication and cooperation.

On the weekends, we had the opportunity to explore Kokura and different parts of Kyushu. We visited several popular tourist attractions and restaurants, but my most cherished memories were always from the times we strayed from the main paths and experienced what the local area had to offer. These moments allowed us to discover hidden local gems and interact with people from backgrounds we wouldn’t normally have had the chance to meet.

I am truly grateful for the staff, students, and friends I met during my stay, all of whom welcomed us with warmth, hospitality, and support. I consider myself very fortunate to have had these opportunities, and I will always look back on this chapter of my life with deep gratitude, affection, and fondness.

This internship in Kitakyushu has been an exceptionally valuable experience, significantly contributing to my professional and personal development. I successfully accomplished my primary objective of acquiring substantial work experience in a Japanese corporate environment. The hands-on tasks and projects I was entrusted with have provided me with profound insights into my chosen field.

Beyond the professional sphere, my time in Kitakyushu offered a unique and enriching cultural immersion. Weekend excursions to both renowned landmarks and lesser-known local areas provided a deeper understanding of Japanese culture than one might gain as a typical tourist. The opportunity to interact with the local community, savor the cuisine, and experience the distinct atmosphere of the region was truly remarkable. Furthermore, the friendships I forged with Japanese colleagues and residents allowed me to access authentic local experiences that would otherwise be unavailable.

I would like to express my sincere gratitude to all the teachers, staff, students, and friends who made my 69-day stay both professionally rewarding and personally fulfilling. The unwavering support and camaraderie I received have left a lasting positive impression on me. This experience has solidified my deep appreciation for Japan and its people, and I am resolute in my intention to return and continue exploring this remarkable country in the future.
